Steadfast in Truth exists to help everyday Christians grow in their understanding of Scripture, develop a distinctly biblical worldview, and discover books that encourage deeper faith and faithful living.
Whether you are new to studying theology, have been walking with Christ for many years, or simply enjoy reading thoughtful Christian literature, there is a place for you here.
Our conviction is simple: Sound theology should lead to a deeper knowledge of God, a greater love for Christ, and a life increasingly shaped by Scripture.
Rooted in Scripture
Everything we believe about God, salvation, and the Christian life must ultimately be grounded in His Word.
At Steadfast in Truth, we affirm that the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, trustworthy, and sufficient Word of God. Scripture is our ultimate standard for faith and practice, providing the foundation by which every doctrine, idea, and worldview must be examined.
Jesus prayed in John 17:17:
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” — John 17:17 (KJV)
These words capture the heart of this website.
We believe that studying Scripture is about more than acquiring information. God’s Word reveals His character, directs our steps, exposes our need for grace, and points us to Jesus Christ.
The goal is not simply to know more theology, but to know God more deeply and live more faithfully before Him.
Grounded in Reformed Theology
Steadfast in Truth approaches the Christian faith from a historic Reformed and Calvinistic theological perspective.
We embrace the sovereignty of God, the authority and sufficiency of Scripture, the doctrines of grace, and the centrality of Jesus Christ in God’s plan of redemption.
We also affirm the great truths recovered and emphasized during the Protestant Reformation, commonly summarized in the Five Solas:
- Scripture Alone (Sola Scriptura): Scripture is the supreme authority for Christian faith and life.
- Faith Alone (Sola Fide): We are justified through faith alone, apart from our works.
- Grace Alone (Sola Gratia): Salvation is entirely a gift of God’s grace.
- Christ Alone (Solus Christus): Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and humanity.
- To God Alone Be the Glory (Soli Deo Gloria): All glory belongs to God alone.
These convictions shape the perspective of our articles and book reviews.
Yet we also recognize that faithful Christians may disagree on certain theological questions. Our desire is to approach such matters with humility, charity, careful biblical reasoning, and a commitment to representing other viewpoints fairly.
We want to be steadfast in our convictions without becoming ungracious in our conversations.

A Note from the Founder
Steadfast in Truth grew out of my personal interest in reading, studying theology, and thinking carefully about the Christian faith.
I believe that good books and serious engagement with Scripture can play an important role in helping Christians grow in their understanding of God and His Word.
I also recognize that studying theology can sometimes feel intimidating. Doctrinal discussions may seem complicated, theological terminology can be unfamiliar, and the number of available books can be overwhelming.
One of my hopes for this website is to make these subjects more approachable.
I am not interested in theological debate simply for the sake of winning arguments. I want to encourage careful thinking, faithful interpretation of Scripture, and a deeper appreciation for the riches of the Christian faith.
I approach these subjects from a Reformed perspective, but I also believe that we should read widely, listen carefully, and examine every teaching against the Word of God.
As I continue reading, studying, and writing, I hope to share what I am learning in a way that benefits others.
Steadfast in Truth is both a personal writing endeavor and a growing collection of resources intended to encourage Christians in their walk with Christ.
My prayer is that what you find here will challenge you to think more deeply, encourage you to open your Bible more often, and point you ultimately to the Lord Jesus Christ.

At its heart, Steadfast in Truth exists to encourage three things:
Know the Truth. Grow in your understanding of Scripture and the foundational doctrines of the Christian faith.
Think Biblically. Develop the discernment necessary to evaluate ideas, books, and cultural questions in light of God’s Word.
Live Faithfully. Apply biblical truth with humility, conviction, and love in everyday life.
